Research Interests

I study the physical and chemical properties of materials under high pressure and high temperature conditions, to better understand the constitution, structure, and evolution of the Earth's interior. At the University of Chicago, I have been studying the metal–silicate partitioning behavior of the radioactive elements U, Th and K to better understand the role that radioactivity might play in the energy budget of Earth's core.
