Housing
We suggest two housing options. There is a close less expensive option (the International House), and there are many options downtown.
The International House is a dormitory style option which is available for short stays. It is a 10 minute walk to Hinds Geophysical sciences, where the meeting will be held. Follow the link bellow for more information:
Downtown, housing options are plentiful. Just north of the Chicago river is a fun place to stay, and still easy to get down to Hyde Park. When looking a places to stay, take a look also at the 'to the University of Chicago' tab to see how easy it will be to get to Hyde Park from where you are thinking about staying. Here are two general locations to get you started:
For a less expensive option downtown, check out this hostel: Hostelling international. It is cheap and close to busses and trains that will get you to Hyde Park.
