Data files on exoplanet characteristics

     *exoplanets2006Processed.txt:  File processed from California Carnegie
      exoplanet survey. This file is convenient for making scatter plots.
      This is the version used in the first edition of
      Principles of Planetary Climate.  Original data, plus the Python
      script used for processing the original data, are in the Original2006
      subdirectory. 
      
     *exoplanets2010.txt: Updated version, using 2010 data. Processed
      from data files Planets2010.txt and Stars2010.txt. The processing
      script is included in the Chapter 1 Scripts directory, so that
      it can be run on current planet and star data downloaded
      from http://exoplanets.org .  The download format for the
      web site is slightly different from the original 2006 data,
      which is why a different processing script is needed for the
      newer data.
      
     *Planets2010.txt , Stars2010.txt: Planet and star files downloaded
      from http://exoplanets.org (California Carnegie Exoplanet Survey).
      From the web site, you download planet and star data separately,
      subsetted according to your criterion.  When selecting new
      data for download, make sure to include at least the minimal
      data columns included in these sample files.
      
     *exoplanetdDataEU2006.txt  Circa 2006 exoplanet data from the
      European Union exoplanet encyclopedia.  Not used in the book
      or exercises, but provides some useful supplementary information.
