Research Interest:

Broadly, my research integrates modern ecological data with historical/fossil data to answer questions related to temporal and spatial ecological dynamics. I use various techniques (morphometrics, phylogenetics, diversity analysis, etc.) and have primarily used bivalve mollusks as a study system. Some past/current projects include:

- Morphological variation among lucinid bivalves from coastal seagrass and marine lake habitats in The Bahamas (M.S. thesis, advised under Dr. Laurie Anderson, SDSMT)

- Taxonomic sufficiency and surrogacy of benthic communities from the Palos Verdes Shelf, Southern California (Advised by Dr. Susan Kidwell)

- Ecological/taphonomic impacts of invasive Pacific green mussels (Perna viridis) in Jamaica's Kingston Harbour (Fulbright Fellowship, University of The West Indies at Mona)
