Biography
She/Her
I joined UChicago as an instructional assistant professor in 2024. I am originally from Nebraska and did my undergraduate studies in physics and geology at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I went to Caltech for my PhD in environmental seismology, researching seismic tremor from subglacial water flow, icequake generation from glacier surface crevassing, and urban seismic noise. For my postdoctoral work at the University of Calgary, I studied the hydrology of glacial lake outburst floods in British Columbia. I am passionate about science education and outreach, always looking for opportunities to facilitate interactions between communities and geoscience.
