Biography
Preferred Pronouns: She/Her
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY, where I discovered my love for earth science through a combination of high school classes and lifelong curiosity. I earned my BS in Biochemistry from SUNY Fredonia, where I built a strong foundation in many kinds of chemistry research. Most notably, I explored inorganic catalysis and reaction mechanisms at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and I expanded into experimental petrology and high-pressure techniques through an NSF GeoPaths internship at Cornell University. Now, I am pursuing my PhD in Mineral Physics, working alongside Dr. Andrew J. Campbell to study deep-earth geochemical processes. I am most excited to explore how rare earth elements and critical minerals behave under deep-earth conditions. Outside the lab, I have been committed to service; as an undergraduate, I held several leadership roles in the realm of Student Government. At UChicago, I will continue my community engagement efforts through outreach and volunteering.
