Research Interests
My research is aimed at understanding chemical evolution in the progenitors of planetary systems, and implications for how the ingredients for life are delivered to nascent planets. I use millimeter telescopes such as ALMA and the IRAM 30m to study the organic chemistry in protostars and protoplanetary disks, and characterize how physics and chemistry interact on solar system scales. I am especially interested in connecting our observations of the chemistry in other systems to the primitive materials in our own Solar system (i.e., meteorites and comets).
