The isotopic composition of atmospheric water vapor as a tracer of convection and cirrus formation; deep convection and stratosphere-troposphere exchange; spectroscopic techniques for in-situ trace gas measurements; climate (and human) response to greenhouse-gas forcing; climate and energy policy evaluation; international education and development.
We currently have openings for a postdoctoral fellow in the statistics of climate model output, in partnership with a broader U. of Chicago group of researchers in climate, statistics, computation, and economics. We also have openings for one or more postdoctoral fellows in modeling of the economic consequenses of climate change and climate policies, and more specifically in modeling the energy sector (see web page).
