The Department of the Geophysical Sciences at the University of Chicago invites applications for positions at the Assistant Professor and Associate Professor ranks. We seek outstanding scientists who address fundamental questions about the physics, chemistry, biology, and history of the Earth and other planetary bodies. Candidates whose research spans disciplines are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants are asked to submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae with a list of publications, statements of research and teaching interests, and names and contact information for at least three references through the University’s Academic Careers website given below. All candidates must have completed the requirements for the PhD prior to appointment. Candidates for the Associate Professor rank must have an outstanding research record.
