Low-Temp. Geochem Renovations Beginning on 3rd floor

Renovations have begun on the 3rd floor of Hinds Laboratory to prepare a clean laboratory and ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) facility for Prof. Clara Blättler's work in low-temperature geochemistry. The facility will include spaces and equipment for sample preparation and geochemical/isotopic analysis for a wide range of geological materials, including biogenic minerals, sediments and sedimentary rocks, and natural waters. Research activities are expected to begin in summer 2019.
