UChicago News Spotlights recent PNAS paper

September 19, 2018

A recent PNAS paper put out by a group of Department members and alumni was the focus of a recent UChicago News article! The group developed a new tool for predicting extinction risk, dubbed PERIL (Paleontological Extinction Risk In Lineages). The model has been released as a hopeful aid to conservationists, identifying regions and species that are most at risk.

A big congratulations to Katie Collins, Stewart Edie, Gene Hunt (now with the Smithsonian Institution), Kaustuv Roy (now at UC-San Diego) and Prof. David Jablonski!
