Professor Nicolas Dauphas was recently interviewed by UChicago News about his article "Titanium isotopic evidence for felsic crust and plate tectonics 3.5 billion years ago" which appeared in Science on September 22nd. Dauphas argues that significant tectonic activity occurred 500 million years earlier than previously thought.
