  • Edie, Smits, and Jablonski publish diversity paper in PNAS

    April 02, 2017

Graduate students Stewart Edie and Peter Smits (Committee on Evolutionary Biology), with William R. Kenan, Jr. Distinguished Service Professor David Jablonski, have published a paper in PNAS titled "Probabilistic models of species discovery and biodiversity comparisons." They provide an approach for estimating the amount of undiscovered diversity on Earth by geographic region, which enables more rigorous development of conservation priorities, and an improved analysis of evolutionary and ecological dynamics among and within regions across the globe. Congratulations Stewart, Peter, and David!
