Research Interests
I am a research scientist at the Field Museum of Natural History and the University of Chicago. My research focuses on, broadly, understanding the physical and chemical evolution of the Solar System and its rocky bodies (specifically Earth, Mars, the moon, and asteroids) through the study of meteorites, their components, micrometeorites, and mission-returned samples. I am especially interested in combining geochemical and petrologic methods to develop the most comprehensive models of Solar System evolution. Therefore, my work employs a variety of methods, including wet chemistry/MC-ICP-MS, laser ablation ICP-MS, µCT, µXRF, optical microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
