Graduate student Brandon Coy to lead James Webb Space Telescope search for signatures of magma-atmosphere interaction on young exoplanet

Graduate student Brandon Coy has been selected for James Webb Space Telescope time for their proposal "Searching for Signatures of Surface-Atmosphere Interaction on a Small Planet in its Magma Era". Brandon will lead transit spectroscopy observations of exoplanet HD 207496 b to be carried out later this year or early 2025. Co-investigators on Brandon's proposal include Geophysical Sciences Associate Professor Edwin Kite,  and Astronomy & Astrophysics Professor Jacob Bean and postdoctoral fellows Michael Zhang and Rafael Luque. Congratulations Brandon!
