Richard B. Alley, the leading glaciologist of his generation, will receive a Doctor of Science honorary degree. Alley is the Evan Pugh Professor of Geosciences at Pennsylvania State University.

Professors Ciesla and Abbot helped promote the new Bonnie Prince Billie album in a new video. It was a concept album where he rerecorded all the songs from his previous album with new people and in new ways. Ciesla and Abbot explained the connection to their research.

Dorian Abbot joined two other local atmospheric scientists at Geek Bar Beta in Chicago’s hip Wicker Park neighborhood to give informal talks about their research as part of the annual “Pint of Science” festival.
