Biography

• PhD in Geology, University of Bristol, UK
• MS in Physical, Chemical and Geological Oceanography, Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil
• BS in Geology, Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil

Research Interests

My research interests are in understanding the link between climate and the ocean, both in the present and past, especially on the last glacial and deglacial intervals. I have worked with geochemical proxies, such as carbon-14, Li/Mg and Nd isotopes, applied to deep-sea corals and marine sediments focusing on reconstructing seawater parameters and paleoceanographic changes. Also, I am interested on U-Th dating techniques on aragonitic deep-sea corals.
