Jansen and Abbot Represent the Department at PKU

Assistant Professor Malte Jansen and Associate Professor Dorian Abbot represented the department at the 90th anniversary celebration of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Peking University (PKU). Our department has a strong connection with atmospheric sciences at PKU. For example, Yongyun Hu, who earned his PhD in our department in 2000 is the chair of atmospheric sciences at PKU, which is one of the most important positions in atmospheric sciences in China. Jun Yang, who was a postdoc in our department from 2012-15, is an assistant professor at PKU. Many of our current graduate students and alumni did their undergraduate work at PKU.
