51 Pegasi b fellow Tad Komacek and Associate Professor Dorian Abbot's work was covered in AAS Nova, which highlights the most interesting work published in AAS journals. In their paper they showed that it will be extremely challenging to detect water transmission features in the atmospheres of terrestrial exoplanets in the habitable zone of M dwarf stars with the James Webb Space Telescope.
