Assistant Professor Edwin Kite's latest article in Nature Geoscience, "Methane bursts as a trigger for intermittent lake-forming climates on post-Noachian Mars," was cited in several new outlets including Newsweek, Space.com, and the Los Angeles Times. Kite and his coauthors model bursts of methane flowing into young Mars’s atmosphere that might have temporarily warmed the planet, allowing liquid water to intermittently persist even after Mars entered its dry period.
