Professor Nicolas Dauphas has been awarded the "Prix SFIS du meilleur article 2014" (SFIS=Société Française des Isotopes) for his paper "Magma redox and structural controls on iron isotope variations in Earth's mantle and crust." Congratulations Nicolas!

Richard B. Alley, the leading glaciologist of his generation, will receive a Doctor of Science honorary degree. Alley is the Evan Pugh Professor of Geosciences at Pennsylvania State University.

Professors Ciesla and Abbot helped promote the new Bonnie Prince Billie album in a new video. It was a concept album where he rerecorded all the songs from his previous album with new people and in new ways. Ciesla and Abbot explained the connection to their research.
